RETURN OF THE H.O.D

What's up y'all ? am back and this time around its all about the hot new album called H.O.D. by the Benue born hardcore rhyme spitter whose real name is Peter Adoga aka overdose.

If u are big on hip hop you would have heard of  him from back in the days of pay back tyme records to the era of kd world records when he was label mates with mode 9, terry da rapman, six foot plus, rule-clean, etc.

we got word that he would be dropping his album this year and viola its finally here! as a matter of fact i just finished listening to the album and its everything he promised it would be.

The album features phat tracks with the singles got to love me, alujo ft solah , drinks in a glass and ginjah me up certified bangers.

another interesting twist to this 15 tracker album is the theme of the songs ,a sweet departure from braggadocio to the club and party scene which will definitely appeal to the ladies.
the rhyming skill is still tight though the subject matter may be more contemporary.  Hip Hop heads have to sell records too player! props too goes to the new label x3m music for pimping this cat's art and to the great producers for the smooth finishing on the beats ,benstein, tommy illfingherz .
Go cop the album now its worth every penny.

IN THE NAME OF ENTERTAINMENT

Denrele has  defended his publicly kissing uncle charlie boy! this is coming after denying he did of course.
Is there any excuse for that kind of behaviour within moral or civilized borders?
What have we not seen? from mega stars catching pedophile cases to rape to people getting killed and its funny how we are becoming more at home and tolerant of these extreme acts that people perpetuate in the name of entertainment , now O J Simpson almost got away with a crime and a lot of people have.
If the laws of the land out law such behaviour why should some people still be prancing about and even granting interviews ?
Are the so called celebrities above the law?
Am not a bigot or a saint but please i think what is wrong is wrong and we should stop hiding behind the world of entertainment to perpetuate illegality, immorality and bad art. Thats my take whats yours?

IT HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES.

I have to admit am new to this , however i feel i owe it to you and me to have this blog so we can interact better, apart from the fact that this is mainly a hip hop forum ,i intend to share my diary, thoughts and all with you on this blog.
on my mind is the movement in the eastern part of Nigeria ,this movement is like a harmattan fire razing through the entire country. when rhythm first set up shop in Awka, Anambra state i must admit we were all pessimistic as to how receptive the environment would be, but after a while that perception started to change as we soon started meeting cats who had skills for real.
in a bid to promote local artistes we started by reserving spots on the hit song of the week segment for Awka based acts, soon we had Sortitude with the rigirigi song . it was so widely recieved within and outside that we knew we had not made a mistake. you would think the buzz wont get better but it did! As soon as the signature entertainment crew stepped up with thier anthem government, there was no going back.
from one hot joint to another with the production skills of mr.08 aka classic the beats were kept hip hop and the streets had to pay attention, then came container, Awka done cast the controversial hit song that is now an anthem everywhere followed by overseas and finally the unleashing of the format mix-tape the streets was on lock and feening for the rhymes and beats of the signature crew, the mix-tape has sold out all over the east with a fine blend of hard spitting rhymes featuring heavy hitters such as Bosaline, Network, I-rap,Bob,Artie,big c, kaydee , queen muda and the fantastic silky voice of Regiano . the crew is bad! and their music is massive. the awareness created by this crew and the change in attitude towards hip-hop in the street marked by mad sales, and ingenious marketing by cicelio the brain behind exit media in not just distribution and marketing but also putting together events that have sold out in all the venues.
I look back today in satisfaction as i press play , knowing that Rhythm 95.7 and a couple of the cats here lended huge support and changed the game in less than a year, awesome. The good thing for me is the fact it went down right before my eyes, so involved was i in this dream i have a track with Bosalin on the mix-tape ,how real is that? lol .Y'all keep the dream alive lets dicongest Lagos and spread entertainment , the market is everywhere so tap into yours wherever you at so you too can look back and say yeah it happened right before youe eyes. one.
